It's always the plan, of course, but procrastination and last-minute panic seem to reign nevertheless. *sigh*Jennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17498259517916702105noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9212501049425940906.post-25444172039339165202011-04-19T11:53:09.053-07:002011-04-19T11:53:09.053-07:00@Jenny: Yes, I think I would, but I'd make sur...@Jenny: Yes, I think I would, but I'd make sure Tim was around to help with the lifting and moving, etc. It really is a two-adult job, IMO. Also, I'd probably start pricing my items ahead of time, possibly AS I decluttered them, rather than waiting until two days before to start writing up stickers (while still peering into closets: "Have I been through these shelves enough times yet???")Hannahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11034180396689442335noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9212501049425940906.post-18480229420523339002011-04-19T10:42:50.895-07:002011-04-19T10:42:50.895-07:00Every now and again, I toy with the idea of doing ...Every now and again, I toy with the idea of doing a garage sale. Your mysterious post leaves me wondering whether the effort required to pull off a garage sale beats my current method of donating it all to charity and taking the tax write-off.

So, would you do it again?Jennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17498259517916702105noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9212501049425940906.post-72694666906545232592011-04-19T06:18:32.976-07:002011-04-19T06:18:32.976-07:00haha, too cute!haha, too cute!B.https://www.blogger.com/profile/10420377377859515581noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9212501049425940906.post-54144168270214485662011-04-18T12:36:09.297-07:002011-04-18T12:36:09.297-07:00Yes, I participated in that sale as well. You did a great job! Too bad you aren't volunteering to do another one anytime soon.Maijahttp://www.ifoundatypo.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9212501049425940906.post-84007591463945256482011-04-17T21:04:12.200-07:002011-04-17T21:04:12.200-07:00So by all accounts, your garage sale "may or ...So by all accounts, your garage sale "may or may not" have been successful. The doing of it is half (at least) of the fun. Getting the house cleaned out is the other half. good job!
Did I ever tell you about the all-church sale I helped organize in 1998 to help build the LSM offices in Anaheim? $12,000 taken in, minus the expenses, $11,700 sent to LSM. I have not had any desire to do another garage sale since then....JoAnnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10944313634480776004noreply@blogger.com
