Mother's Day Cards to Help a Mother

Of all the people I admire, high on the list are folks who adopt orphans. These are regular folks like you and me, with regular bills, budgets, capabilities and limitations. They put their pants on one leg at a time, and when they drop toast on the floor, it falls butter-side-down at least fifty percent of the time. But God puts "the least of these" on their hearts, and they forego vacations and other luxuries, setting aside every spare penny to bring a child  into a forever home.

I met Katie Fox through a mutual friend, and learned that she and her husband were somewhere in long, arduous  process of adopting an orphan from Colombia. This sweet family is raising funds for their adoption by designing downloadable cards  to sell through their shop. If you have a mother, or know a mother, or know anyone who might appreciate a little note from you on Mother's Day (how about an expecting mama in your life?), please check out their designs. In five minutes, you'd have your Mother's Day cards bought and printed. You'd also have the satisfaction of supporting a family's worthy cause with your purchase.

The Foxes also sell organic fair trade coffee through their website, with $5 of every bag going directly to their adoption fund. Win for you: Great coffee. Win for them: A step closer to bringing home their child. Can it get any better than that?

That is so great ... I love the cards and the cause. Am also tempted to try out the coffee as well :)

I really really like the simplicity of these cards. I hope this family meets their goal and adopts in the near future. I can't imagine the anticipation.
