Salvation!

From library fines, I mean.

The answer to all the money I waste, I mean donate to the library, for overdue books (and videos, yipes, a dollar a day and no grace period!) is ... Library Elf. I just discovered this site thanks to Family Fun, one of my favorite magazines. It ties into your local library system and sends emails (or text messages) to remind you when your books are due or when your holds are in. So cool!

I currently owe $150 (yes, $150) in library fines! I'm scared that if I even walk in that place, sirens will start blaring or something!

It actually happens that I'm reading blogs at this very minute because I was trying to forget my current library deliquency! Several books (and those awful, pricey videos!, too!) are late, I can't find a tape that goes to one of the book on tape sets, and I'm trying to decide whether to pile all the kids in the car this evening to return the books and pay my fines or to wait until tomorrow when things are a little calmer and pay a little more...And I was feeling guilty on top of that, until I read your post and Jenny's comment and just felt so much better!
